With some minor stylistic changes to the classic chukka shape, the Lems Chukka proves function and fashion can co-exist. The pairing between a smooth suede upper and injection-blown rubber (IBR) outsole work in concert to create a lightweight, moderately flexible, and sophisticated boot that is well-suited for a variety of occasions.
Please note: while the Chukka is widest at the toes, a full set of Correct Toes is tricky and tight to wear with the shoe liner. Because of this, we would recommend removing the liner to accommodate Correct Toes and for proper toe splay.

When it comes to functional shoes with fashionable elements, the Be Lenka Winter shoe does its job well. A water-resistant leather outer is met with a cushy, merino wool liner to keep the feet dry and comfortable. The flexibility of the sole is outstanding, given that this feature can be rare in protective winter shoes with generally stiff soles.
While this shoe model is widest at the toes, our reviewer could only accommodate a modified pair of Correct Toes. This was due to the shoe liner taking up some of the volume within the shoe. Otherwise, we fully recommend the Be Lenka Winter shoe as a cold weather option!
This tall boot is a winter-ready option with its water-repellant canvas outer and toasty flannel lining. We loved the higher cut of this boot paired with its well-crafted tongue, sewn almost ¾ of the way up the laces to keep snow and rain out.
Note: this boot may work for some and can accommodate Correct Toes with modification.
The Leguano Chester is a relatively light, extremely flexible, and very thin boot. With a liner made of high quality virgin wool, this is a perfect option for dry and chilly days. One thing to note: While wearing an unmodified pair of Correct Toes, the tester, who has a narrow-to-average sized foot, noted some snugness. People with a very wide foot (in particular at the toes) should take be aware and size accordingly. Even though it did not create discomfort, we recommend people only wear a modified pair of Correct Toes with this shoe to ensure there is enough space for the toes to splay naturally.
