What Makes Correct Toes Unique?

We’re often asked how Correct Toes differ from other toe spacing products. While there are many toe spacers to consider, it comes down to more than just price or material. Function and purpose are important too! Correct Toes were specifically designed to provide lasting health for your toe and foot problems. Here’s what makes Correct Toes unique.

What Makes Correct Toes Unique

1). Created by a Sports Podiatrist

Correct Toes were designed by sports podiatrist and elite distance runner Dr. Ray McClanahan. For both his patients and himself, Dr. Ray desired to cure the root cause of foot problems rather than settle for symptom management. He embarked on a mission to discover a truly curative method of foot care. Dr. Ray realized the powerful healing effect of rehabilitating and strengthening the feet, and that natural toe splay is an essential component of long-term foot health. Ultimately, he developed Correct Toes, customizable and comfortable toe spacers that would enable his patients to combat and prevent common foot problems.

2). Designed to Align Your Feet Naturally

Similar to braces impacting the alignment of teeth, Correct Toes slowly and progressively change foot architecture. Structural changes create a wider base of support, improving balance, proprioception, gait and posture.

3). Modifiable for Your Unique Feet

Everyone has unique feet and individual needs! With this in mind, Correct Toes were designed to be customizable to accommodate a variety of foot conditions, as well as optimize fit and comfort.

4). 4 Distinct Sizes

Correct Toes are available in four sizes: X-Small, Small, Medium, and Large. Proper sizing is based not only on your shoe size but also your foot width, toe width and existing degree of toe splay.

Our sizing chart or printable sizing guide can help you find the best size for your feet.

5). Get Results While Being Active

Best results occur when using Correct Toes during daily weight-bearing activities. Correct Toes can be worn barefoot or in naturally shaped shoes. Naturally shaped footwear is flat, widest at the ends of the toes and flexible in the sole. This type of footwear encourages natural foot and body movement, optimizes foot strength and promotes proper toe alignment.

  1. I agree! Correct Toes really are the best toe spacer on the market, no question. Being comfortable, durable, customizable, and wearable while weight-bearing makes them the absolute best tool for addressing or preventing foot pains and deformities. Also, the information/education that accompanies Correct Toes is invaluable.

  2. I have a pair of correct toes. I have no issues with my right foot. On my left foot, I’ve had bunion surgery twice. The result of the first surgery by an orthopedic surgeon was a slight decrease in the size of the bunion and the beginnings of a hammer toe next to the great toe. I returned to my podiatrist. He performed the bunion surgery where he removed a wedge of bone and pinned it. He also operated on the hammer toe and pinned it temporarily. He removed some of the bone from that toe. My podiatrist told me that the next two toes were on their way to ecoming hammertoes. I use the correct toe only on the left foot because that’s the only foot with issues. Is that okay? Also, I’m having trouble finding a wide toe box shoe that is NOT zero degrees lift. I’ve tried two different brands, but can’t get used to them. They effect my balance. I have MS and balance is an issue for me.
